Walala Tjapaltjarri, one of the most prolific painters from the western desert, paints the Tingari Cycle (a series of sacred and secret mythological song cycles) which are associated with the artist’s many dreaming sites which are the locations of spiritual rockholes, water soakages and Sandhills in the Gibson Desert.
