Sally Kemara Perkin’s work represents the landscape of her childhood and landscape of her travels. She derives her inspiration from the many and varied wild flowers of the Central Desert.

Sally builds colour upon colour on a dark background and then veils it with a kaleidoscopic pattern of white. In this painting she uses a stick to apply the veil of white over a terracotta background.
