The Arnwekety is a small black current, rich in vitamin C. The small black berry has a sweet taste with a sour pip. Arnwekety can be found at Utopia from March through to May. Arrarntenh is a larger, grape size fruit and ranges in colour from a transparent skin through to light yellows and oranges, maturing into a bright pink or purple. It is widely consumed by the people of Utopia as it is high in nutritional value.
Ollie Kemarre (deceased) depicts the Bush Plum Dreaming using fine dot-work in various autumnal colours which represent the various phases of the fruits ripening to maturity and reflects the changing seasonal influences. The Bush Plum plant is of great significance to the women of the Eastern Desert region.
